7 Quick Tips to Rocket-Boost Your Google Adwords Pay-per-click (PPC) Conversions

Many internet marketers struggle to get their Google AdwordsGoogle Adwords Pay-per-click campaigns fined-tuned enough to get their ads to convert at the sky-high conversion rates that they have always wanted.

That is why we have created these 7 quick tips that if implemented immediately, will hugely increase your click-through rate (CTR), and more importantly your conversions!

1.) If Your Marketing Hasn’t Been Working Before, Check You Are Even In The Right Market!

For people to buy into a particular information product, course or mentoring there has to be a market for that product or service in the first place. If your marketing hasn’t been working in the past, or you are thinking about a new venture then you should STOP RIGHT NOW and find out whether you are fulfilling a NEED of the market place first.

Google has a tool called the Keyword Planning Tool which allows you to check how many searches a month a particular keyword or term has. The best markets to be in are those with thousands of searches a month (30,000+ preferably), and fairly low competition. These are the areas that the market are asking questions about and not being heard at the moment.

If there are a lot of monthly searches, fairly low competition, and/or you are already experiencing a fair amount of success and just want to improve then you are on the right track!

2.) Group Keywords Into Ad-Groups

Grouping keywords into ad-groups allows you to target your chosen market with pin-point accuracy, and heralds far higher conversions than just lumping all your keywords into one ad-group.

For example, if your chosen audience is internet marketers and affiliate marketers, then create an ad-group of keywords for each so you can fine-tune your ads.  You will get far higher Click-through rates (CTR) if you show an ad to an affiliate marketer with ‘affiliate marketing’ in the ad, and an ad to an internet marketer with ‘internet marketing’ in the ad, rather than showing ‘affiliate marketing’ to both parties for example.

3.) Capitalize The First Letter Of Each Word In Your Ad

Here’s a quick one to massively increase your click-through rates, and your conversions. Capitalizing the first letter of each word (or whole words) in your ads have been shown to increase click-through rates by 40%! This means that for every 100 clicks, another 40 people would click your ads!

You cannot fully capitalize each word in your ads, but split-test which words in your ads are best shown capitalized to increase your conversion rates.

4.) Make Sure Your Ads Are Relevant To Your Website, As Well As Your Keywords

This is a biggie! If your ad is not relevant to your website, then you will be getting people clicking through but not taking any action on your site… and more importantly, there will be no/very little sales!

You need to make sure that your ad ‘does what it says on the tin’ when it comes to being relevant to the website. If your ad promises something that is not delivered on the website, or the ad is not totally relevant to the website, then you will be left with a big bill from Google and very few sales!

5.) Use Long-Tailed Keywords As Well As Shorter Ones

Long-tailed keywords (keywords of a longer length, or a greater number of words) are cheaper per click than shorter ones, and can still yield the same amount of conversions from those Solution!clicks if the ads and website are targeted correctly.

You can research the amount of searches on individual long-tailed keywords using the Google Keyword Planner tool. This way you can ensure that enough people are searching for that keyword before you start spending your marketing budget bidding on it!

Add these longer-tailed keywords into your campaigns to yield great returns with a cheaper budget!

6.) Make Sure Your Keyword Appears In Your Ad Title

This is so simple… yet many people forget to do it! Just making sure that your keyword appears in your ad title will vastly increase your click-through rates and of course your sales.

Have you ever bought a new car and then suddenly seen that car everywhere, even though you didn’t before? Your brain automatically looks for things that you identify with, and things that interest you. Be sure to use this to your advantage by putting your keyword in the title (and the main body of the ad too if you can!) to massively increase your click-through rates (while using some fun Jedi mind techniques at the same time Mwahahaha)!

7.) Make Sure You Focus On The End Goal – Use AIDA

 Remember to focus your ads on the end goal – which is to get people to CLICK on your ad and visit your website, so that your LANDING PAGE can do the sale. If you try to sell to them in the 2 lines you have on the ad, then the message will be confused and you won’t have high click-through rates. Remember the sale is for the landing page, and the ad is just to get them to click through!

Remember to also use the AIDA structure in your ads. AIDA stands for Attention, Interest, Desire, Action. This is the standard process that a potential customer has to be guided through in order to take action, and to click through to your website. First grab their attention with the headline, and then get them interested to learn more. The second line should then spark up their desire to visit your website (use phrases like free trial or personalized service to increase desire), before you leave them with the Call to Action (CTA) at the end to get them to click through.

Make sure to include a strong Call to Action in your ad, but be careful to not come across as too pushy as this will turn people off. However, make sure that you aren’t completely flat and boring either! It is about finding the correct balance between the two, the sweet spot of the optimum conversions into clicks on your ad.
